Jah Cure has returned to the pole position of the Billboard Reggae Album charts with The Cure, 26 weeks after it debuted at the chart's top spot, which it held for three weeks.

Since The Cure was released in July 2015 by VP Records, the album has garnered both critical and commercial acclaim. Last month, it was sales monitor Soundscan reported that the album had sold just over 10,000 copies.

Since the Grammy nomination was announced, The Cure has received a boost in sales.

"I have been campaigning hard to raise awareness of the album, hopefully, with voters in the Academy, but that campaigning has boosted sales. Right now, The Cure is approaching 15,000 copies," said Jah Cure.

The album is number one for the week of January 23, 2016, reclaiming the top spot from the various artistes compilation Reggae Gold 2015, which now sits at No. 2.

Third on the listing is another multi-performer set, Soca Gold, with Stick Figure's Set in Stone at No. 4. Rounding out the top five is another various artistes album, Strictly the Best Fifty Two and Fifty Three.

Joss Stone's Water For Your Soul comes in at No. 6, leading another female vocalist, Carlene Davis (Dripping Blood).

At No. 8 is Iration's Hotting Up, ninth is SOJA's Amid the Noise and Haste, with Morgan Heritage's Strictly Roots completing the top 10.

The 37-year-old Jah Cure has nabbed a Grammy nomination with The Cure and is one of five nominees for Best Reggae Album at the 2016 Grammy Awards. Strictly Roots is also up for the honours, along with Branches of The Same Tree (Rocky Dawuni), Zion Awake (Luciano), and Acousticalevy (Barrington Levy).

The 58th Grammy Awards takes place on February 15 at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles, California, USA.

Taking into account his travel restrictions, Jah Cure put The Cure's performance into perspective.

"I feel blessed to be where I am today because for a man who cannot tour Canada, UK, or the US, I am putting in the work to stay relevant," he said.

He co-produced the album, with the help of producers such as Christopher 'Sketch' Carey, Clive Hunt, Llamar 'Riff Raff' Brown, Justin 'Jus Bus' Nation, and Trevor 'Baby G' James.

During the summer of 2015, Jah Cure toured Europe to promote the set, his first trek there in three years.
